In 2025, the copper cathode project by CHMM has successfully operated in Indonesia.

The copper cathode products will be used as a feeding material for cable production. The project capacity is to produce 3000t copper cathode per annual through fire refining and electro refining. And the production capacity will be expanded to 6000tpa after one year of operation.

The project raw materials is copper scrap(Cu content: around 93%),and the final product is copper cathode (Cu content:≥99.99%）

The main process of the project is fire-refining to process the copper scrap and produce the copper anode. And then, the copper anode has been put in the electro refining system to produce the copper cathode. The process is mature.

CHMM has provide the engineering design for the project and provide the the whole project equipment including tilting furnace ,casting line, electroytic cell, stainless steel cathode, copper busbar, rectifier, press filter ,pumps and etc.

Now, the fire-refining workshop of the project is under normal production, and electro-refining workshop will soon be put into production.
